Visual Translations of Ancient Heritage was a research project centered on the Minoan Civilisation of Bronze Age Crete. The project is to be exhibited in museums in Athens, Greece and Heraklion, Crete. The aim of the rubber stamp set is to encourage a young audience to engage with historic content within a museum setting. Therefore the rubber stamp set was created as a visual re-contextualisation of The Phaistos Disc a relic that contains un-translated symbols pressed into clay. This allows visitors to the museums to stamp there own symbols to create undecipherable messages to one another.
