NIMBY

Not in my backyard is an initiative created to encourage keeping our cities clean and rubbish free. Inspired from an eye opening trip to South East Asia - Mary van Tongeren (my mother) wanted to do something in her own backyard on her return. Starting with a few bags here and there around the port hills in Christchurch Mary was determined to made some change - hoping that removing trash from the line of vision may inspire others to keep it that way. I suggested she make this a monthly event and created this simple brand to get the word out there and hopefully encourage people around the world to do their own bit for their hometown. I used an earthy textured colour palette but with a bright friendly typeface to keep the mood positive and encouraging.
